Fillings
Our minimally invasive filling techniques are used to treat tooth decay and preserve as much healthy enamel as possible.
A filling is a restoration that repairs teeth that have small cavities or damage that interferes with the comfort, form and function. In most cases, we recommend tooth-colored composite fillings. These types of fillings are:
- Matched to your natural shade of enamel
- Minimally invasive
- Perfect for all ages
- Contain tooth-strengthening minerals
- More aesthetic, allowing them to be used anywhere throughout the mouth
- In some cases it may be necessary to use an amalgam (silver) filling. One of our dentists will discuss your treatment options with you, allowing you to be actively involved in your treatment planning process.
Crowns and Bridges
Bridges and crowns are fixed prosthetic devices that are cemented onto existing teeth or implants by a dentist or prosthodontist. Crowns are used most commonly to entirely cover or "cap" a damaged tooth or cover an implant. Bridges are commonly used to cover a space if you're missing one or more teeth. They are cemented to natural teeth or implants surrounding the space where the tooth once stood.
Dentures and Partials
Removable partial dentures usually consist of replacement teeth attached to pink or gum-colored plastic bases. Depending on your needs, our dentist will design a partial denture for you. A partial denture may have a metal framework and clasps that connect to your teeth, or they can have other connectors that are more natural looking. In some cases, a removable partial denture is made to attach to your natural teeth with devices called precision attachments.
Pulp Therapy and Root Canals
Damaged tooth nerves require a pulpotomy or root canal in order to eliminate infection and pain. The procedure is followed by a restoration that allows the tooth to continue functioning normally.
During root canal or endodontic treatment, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha. Afterwards, the tooth is restored with a crown or filling for protection. After restoration, the tooth continues to function like any other tooth.
Dental Veneers
Laminates and dental veneers can change absolutely everything about the way your smile looks. Straighter, whiter, beautiful teeth are only a couple of visits away.
